The Hornets open up the home regular season schedule with a play down game against Simpson tonight and Bristol next week. Should be some easy wins for the Hornets which hopefully have a lot of play for the newcomers on the roster.

45-17 Hornet lead at half. Demps was running the point early on. Hornets have been able to do whatever they want. There have been quite a few Hornet turnovers and some sloppy play at times. I think Katz will empty the bench in the 2nd half.

74-42 Hornet win. Sloppy second half, Hornet didn't score until under the 16 minute mark. Katz emptied the bench including Stuteville 2 with 5 minutes to go. The Hornet passing game needs to sharpen up a bit, a lot of errant passes that were just a bit off the mark. Demps had a good night and lead the Hornets in scoring with 16. Mills had 11 pts and 6 boards.

The Hornets did look sloppy at times last night as SD said. Mills continues to look good coming off the bench which is sure to help come BSC schedule. The way he has been playing he could easily be in the conversation for 6th man of the year if they still had that award. Demps is playing with confidence on offense and still playing good defense. The homestand will include last years WAC champion Utah Valley as another D1 opponent. If Davis hadn't backed out we would of played them during this homestand. Lots of room for improvement. As long as they continue to look better (even if its a tiny bit better) I feel they will be fine by January. Mason Stuteville told me he decided to play this year instead of taking a red shirt year. His decision.

97-61 win for the 3-1 Hornets at home tonight.

Good job Hornets.

On to the the Div 1 rest of schedule.

Peaked at the Big Sky basketball standings and noticed that Portland State knocked off USC in LA and Eastern Washington beat Indiana in Bloomington . Wow. Very impressive. And big for the Big Sky.
Big Sky basketball is looking good.

Happy Thanksgiving to the Hornets and good luck next Monday at home against Utah Valley!!!

Roll on Hornets!!
