The Hornets (16-7, 10-2 BSC) travel to Moscow to face Idaho (10-12, 5-6 BSC). The Vandals are coming in off of a home win against PSU while the Hornets will look to rebound from a tough loss at the now BSC leading EWU. Idaho is a solid team and would have a few more wins on the docket if they could have closed out some games.

If the Hornets get off to another slow start they will find themselves in trouble. The Hornets need to play better and get a win. The pressure is on to keep pace atop the BSC.

This could be a tough one to win. I think Idaho is the most athletic team in the Big Sky, but they have cold shooting spells that dooms them. They'll be gunning for us since we had to struggle to beat them here after being down by double digits. Their coach helped us out w/that 'T' at the end of the half that gave us a free two points.

This is a big game once again. No easy games left this year. Need to win out and see what happens. Tonite is pretty much a "must win" if we have any hope of winning the Conference title. Portland St is hanging tough with EWU...32-26 at the half...Go Vikings

We recovered some and now trail only by 37 to 33 at the half. Garrity got going w/12. This game could go down to the last shot. Their shooting about 60%; need to step up the D even more.

The Hornets off to a slow start in the 2nd half, just like in the first half and now down by 9, 44 to 35. Things need to change if we are going to win this game.

Hornets giving this one back to the Vandals after a 14 and 0 run, now can't hit or rebound and trail 59 to 55 w/under 3 to go. Not looking good...........

Tied at 55, but Hornets couldn't rebound or shoot after that and the Vandals took advantage of it and beat us 69 to 55.

With three road games to play and the way we typically play on the road, not that well, we could lose all three plus the game at home against Northern Colorado for an 11-7 mark. We'd still make the playoffs, but we won't have to worry about hosting them then.

the road. gotta win them to win out.

bummer to come all the way back after the common ( for whatever reason ) first half cold start to take the lead and go down by 11.

7-0 now at home and 3-3 on the road in Big Sky play.

2 more at home and 3 yet on the road.

Time to put it all on the line and go for it.

On to next week at Hornet Gym and the final 2 games on campus for the seniors.

Go Hornets

Sac State Pride

EWU has 6 games left and 4 on the road.

One of the two remaining home games is against Montana

Montana, like us has two at home and 3 left on the road.

On to crunch time and time for the Hornets to get the last two at home and practice to put everything on the line from the opening tip off. Time to solve the mystery of the slow first half starts.

Go Hornets!!!

Sac State pride.

69-58 Hornet loss. Hornets went cold in the final 4 minutes after battling to tie it up. That was the toughest road trip (given the competition) in BSC play and I was hoping for a split. The Hornets will really need to dig deep if they want to win the conference crown. To do that, they will need to get over their typical road woes. :|
