The Hornets only hope at making the BSC Tournament is to win out its remaining BSC games. The first step in that process is heading to Portland to play a solid PSU team that touts the second leading scorer in the BSC (guard Charles Odum: 18.6 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 2.6 apg). PSU also has a few other players who put up solid numbers so this game will be tough. If the Hornets can regroup and get back to playing a full 40 minutes of aggressive and well executed ball, they should have a chance to keep their postseason hopes alive.

The Hornets look terrible on both sides of the ball and are getting killed 49 to 22 at the half in a must win game. We are totally out of sync as they are scoring at ease and we look a step slower all over the court and the offense is terrible. I'm not sure there is anything we can do to even get back into this game as the Vikings really want it and came to play and we sure didn't at this point. Too bad too since we've been playing so well the last five games; I don't know what happened to "that team", but they didn't show up tonight.

85-67 PSU win. The Hornets regressed back to their embarrassing ways and had a complete no-show as they were run off the court in Portland. I listened to most of the first half of the game and it sounded like the Hornets had no fire in this one and we not prepared for this game whatsoever. A ton of missed short shots is inexcusable at this point in the season the Hornets just couldn’t do anything right. This loss officially ends their season and Katz has failed for the 4th straight year to reach the BSC Tournament. With what was on the line in this game, it’s sad that this team had such a pathetic showing. So much for putting the "fire Katz" campaign on ice.

I happened to be in OR for work last night, and caught the game at PSU. In the first half, Sac appeared a step behind and outmanned. They turned it on in the second with a lot more pressure and intensity. PSU’s shooting seemed automatic at times, so they could never close the gap. In contrast, Dickson missed several short shots, and ended up going 1 of 9 from the floor. Disappointing game that Sac was out of quickly.
