The Hornets (5-4) head up the coast to face Seattle. Seattle plays tonight at Minnesota which will most likely be a loss that will put them at 5-6 if Vegas is right.

So far this season Seattle looks very similar to the Hornets. They have had their ups and downs in the season and 2 of their wins are against inferior competition. The lions share of Seattle’s offense goes through their two guards Umipig (17.2 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 3.7 apg) and Flora (14.1 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 2.3 apg). The scoring numbers significantly drop off after those two and to add to their woes, Seattle lost a big man off the bench in Sunderhaus with a torn ACL. The Hornets have had their typical road woes this season but this is a winnable game, especially if they can play at the level they did last week.

Seattle was thumped by 35 points to a very good Minnesota team last night. Hopefully this beating and the travel to and from the Land of Lakes gives the Hornets a little bit of an edge tomorrow night.

@ Halftime, Sac State is down 30-17. Another horrendous start on the road. Hopefully, they can dig themselves out of this hole...
Coach Katz is a great recruiter, and a very solid D1 coach, but it seems like he has a hard time motivating his players on the road. What is everyone opinion on this?

I really thought we could beat the Redhawks - even on the road - but it's not looking good as the Hornets trail at the half, 30 to 17. We can't hit anything. We still have time to come back, but we need to start hitting and play better "D". Our "D" hasn't been very good this year.

I'm afraid we're going to continue our poor to fair road play and we're just as bad at altitude which makes it even more difficult in the Big Sky. Hopefully, the Big Sky is even weaker than usual and we'll get to the post season tourney and be a plus .500 team for once.

66-47 Hornet loss. Another embarrassing road game. This was a winnable game and the Hornets didn't even show up. I thought this would be the year the Hornets would finally find a way to win outside of the Nest, apparently that will never happen for this program.

One more road game before this team hits conference play, but as of now I don't see this being any different from last season: scrap for the final BSCT spots and near but below .500 record.

I agree SDH about being equivalent to last year's squad. All the hype was premature about this team, but I think we will be above .500. I'm thinking the Big Sky is a little weaker than normal which will get us over the hump, back in the post season tourney for one win and make it seem like we have a "better" team this season, when it's really a weaker Big Sky that made us look better.
I'll take it tho - and still hold out hope for more improvement as we go along.
