M: @ Southern Utah

Crashing back to reality, this is what we all remember about being Hornet fans. :crybaby:

I would try to say something optimistic, but at this point we know what's coming on Saturday.

I would have been ecstatic to secure a 2 or 3 seed at the beginning of the season, but considering where we stood yesterday at 5:59 PM yesterday before the game started, I can't help but be disappointed. Regardless, this has been the best Hornet team ever, and I'm very proud... I'm just hoping for a big win Saturday so we can see the Well packed. The best NAU can do is a 4-way share of the title with no chance to host due to tie breakers. But, I still think they are going to come out on fire...

Try telling that to GCM.

Somebody owes me an apology. :ohno:

Yet, sage of Hornet you doubt. You too will learn the ways of the dark side. Give it time, young Hornet fan.

Actually, I am like clairvoyant now, didn't even listen/watch the game as I already knew the outcome.

No one on this board owes you anything. In fact you should apologize for impersonating a Sac St. fan. BTW, I am a 64 year old Viet Nam Vet, so you can knock off the "young" references as I've been around longer than a 28 year Hornet doubter. I hope you're enjoying the NAU outcome. I fail to understand why you even follow the Hornets with the attitude you exude.

Everyone just relax. GCM is our resident “chicken little” and in his eyes the sky is always falling. If he truly can’t enjoy this amazing season then nothing will be enjoyable for him. That said, our history hasn’t been very good and over the years things rarely break our way so I understand his frustrations. However this has been one of the few years where things have gone our way (and not just in hoops).

I’m hoping this is the point where things start turning around, we’ve got new leadership in the AD willing to improve our brand and new campus leadership coming on board in the fall. Win or lose tomorrow, this run in hoops couldn’t have come at a better time. There is plenty of reason to be excited about Hornet athletics, now leadership just needs to take it to the next level so fans, alums, and the community can hop on board and get there.
