M: vs CS Fullerton

Fullerton comes to the Nest at 3-6 but they have played a pretty tough schedule. They have yet to win on the road. They do have 3 players averaging 10 ppg or better and have 2 players averaging over 6 boards a game. I think this will be a tough game for the Hornets given the early struggles this team has had.

For those folks heading to the game be safe, there is a hell of a storm blowing through the region all day today.

I've got a feeling the Hornets will take Fullerton tonight and lose to my alma mater, the Portland Pilots, on Sunday. I've already got my ticket for the game tonight, so I'm going; the storm doesn't seem as bad as the media played it up - at least the wind isn't as bad.

Really have to clean up the turnovers. They have been killing us this year. Didn't expect that to be a major problem with our veteran backcourt.

33-24 Hornet lead at the half. Hornets started out very cold from the floor but got things going with about 8 minutes left in the half. Hornets are taking care of the ball so far. Tiffin has been shooting lights out in the half with 10 points (wow never thought I would say that :o ).

73-59 Hornet win. Hornets built a lead then lost it then built it again. The Titans got hot from the arc to make it close but some clutch shooting by the Hornets late and then a near perfect night from the stripe kept this a win. Overall a good game, only 9 turnovers but some shoddy rebounding from time to time. Huge win for this team.

It was their best performance of the year overall. We finally played a "clean" game (few turnovers) and shot the ball fairly well. Tiffin played real well on the offensive end with some real good free throw shooting. He has been shooting with less tension this year and it shows. Zach passed up a few open looks from behind the arc but he has been in a little bit of a shooting slump. Tonight he made a clutch jumper from the top of the key which may get him back to where he was early this year on offense. If they can play like this against Portland they have a chance at an upset. Good win tonight, let's hope for another Sunday evening.

I agree. The beauty of it was different players stepping up in the clutch. Mills had that huge jumper, Demps came through with some key shots, Tiffin was solid from the stripe down the stretch, McKinney did his thing and Garrity had a huge dagger from deep coming off a screen that really put it out of reach. Stuteville had a rough night; we’ll need something out of him if we hope to upset Portland.
