M: vs Incarnate Word

Incarnate Word is 3-2, with all their wins coming against D2 opponents and both loses being blowouts against top 25 opponents. FWIW, their stats show them shooting 40% from the floor, 30% from 3, and 74% from the stripe. Their roster is all guards and forwards, and they have some size at forward. Hard to gage where UIW is. Hornets need to take care of business in the Nest this Monday.

FCSINO....

Hornets need to get back on a winning streak. Now is a good time to start...expect a better shooting outing than the last game (that is going to happen once in awhile) and that should fix our problems...

Anyone know what to expect crowd wise? I think I'm taking my wife and son tonight, not sure if there has been a need for getting seats early.

73-70 win...an ugly win at that. Hornets open the game on a nice run and get a comfortable lead...then watch it whither away. This team just doesn't know how to play with a lead. The game changed on an elbow to Demps' face who had to go out and get stitches (I think). UIW slowly got back into it due to a zone defense the Hornets were to afraid to attack coupled with some sloppy Hornet play. It was tied late with the Hornets getting some crucial buckets when needed. Hornet perimeter defense broke down again to let UIW stay within range. Strings carried this team late...he continues to impress even more. Foul discrepancy was something else, 21-15 in UIW favor AFTER about 4 intentional fouls. FTs need to get better, too many points left on the court.

We completely squeaked by in this one. That early season mojo is clearly gone now, these guys need to get it together. This game shouldn't have been close. PGP what say ye? :|

Hornets didn't play very clean tonite but got the win 73-70.....I guess it's just never going to be easy with this group...they started the game strong and built up a 14 pt lead at one point but let it trickle away to a tie with just over 6 minutes left, then we regained a 2 pt lead and they never got any closer....whew!!!! Strings (23 pts) continues to improve and Graves (20) and Demps (14 pts 5 rebounds and 6 assists) got back on track...

Highlights and Interviews, great clips of the clutch shot by Strings (BSC POTW):
