M: vs Pacific Union

The Hornets (6-4) host NAIA Pacific Union (4-3) tonight at the Nest. This is the 5th D1 game for the Pioneers, they’ve lost all of them (SJSU, Weber State, Santa Clara, Fresno State) so far with the game at Santa Clara being the only relatively close game (7 point loss, Santa Clara is 4-10).

The Hornets should roll to an easy win tonight in this final tune up before BSC play begins this weekend. This game isn't a draw, however the Hornets won't have a home game until Jan 14th so this is the only option to satisfy your Hornet hoops itch (and to check out the new decor of the Nest).

Hornets rolled 78-49. They kind of sleepwalked through most of it with some sloppy passing at times. The Hornets jumped out to an early lead but never really extended the lead beyond a 10-14 point lead until the final 10 minutes of the game when the Hornets blew it open. A decent shooting night, turned into a 3 point shooting contest for a bit, good showing from the stripe. Time to gear up for the real season now.
