• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.
  • Hi Guest, want to participate in the discussions, keep track of read/unread posts and more? Create your free account and increase the benefits of your eGriz.com experience today!

The MVC is just about to expand. What will come out of that is a chain reaction of movement. The Summit will add the Montana’s, Idaho and Weber St and lose ORU, Western Illinois and IPFW.
The Summit alignment would be:

UND
NDSU
SDSU
USD
Omaha
Denver
Weber St
Montana St
Montana
Idaho

This will be a football centered league with good basketball. This board haas been complaining for years about how weak the Sky is. Well your President has been listening and will upgrade Weber St in both sports. Weber took the place of EWU, which just couldn’t afford the stadium and scholarship upgrades needed. Weber is upgrading your fb stadium, which is needed as this conference will go FBS. The MWC isn’t an option, but a FBS league is still possible.

Nothing like adding back those great road trips to North Dakota. I’m sure the coaching staffs are all over that.

That is why ISU and EWU are behind inviting CWU in 2020, which is preparing itself for a bid. The Montanas and Idaho would never allow it as academically as CWU is so demeaning. At least EWU brought Spokane back into the media mix. CWU doesn't have media to speak of, except maybe part of Yakima. CWU wants to grow more, taking more students from the Seattle metro. The Montanas and Idaho want a better conference academically and athletically and one that can grow into FBS.
