We came so close to selling out the CIT. Let's market the heck out of this thing and get a sellout. A facebook invite has been made. Please invite all of your sports fan friends!

Tourney tix for me and 3 others: check.
Facebook invites sent out: check.
Sharing of fb event: check.
Creating a Weber buzz at work, church, wherever I can: check.

I hope Friday's game sees a packed house. I hope even more that Saturday's game is a sellout (which means Weber's in the 'ship.) The CIT Championship game and the NAU loss both had good numbers and that magic atmosphere that is the pinnacle of Weber State (and NCAA) basketball. It's time for the players and fans to be rewarded with that same atmosphere AND a win!

Just got a pre-recorded message from Jerry Bovee thanking me for being a season ticketholder and encouraging us to help pack the Dee for the tournament.

BOY!!! THANKS JERRY!!! :coffee: :coffee:

Hold on! People have been begging for the University to do more to promote, market and get students to games. At least they are trying to build excitement. Bovee wasn't the one that wanted me to produce evidence that I was making some special shirts before he decided to go to the North Dakota game.

I was glad to hear a radio ad today for the big sky tourney. The athletic department and conference is doing a great job of marketing this tourney. Maybe I'm a homer, but I feel an event like this should be promoted until it's sold out. Here are a few other ideas I have to sell out the tourney:

Sponsor the Facebook invite. A few hundred bucks goes a long way because ads are targeted.
Put ads on KSL.com or other local web pages.
Get coach Rahe and players on as many local sports shows as possible.
Place a banner over downtown or something symbolizing we are hosting the tourney.

Of all these ideas, I think sponsoring the Facebook invite is the most bang for the buck. If anyone talks to marketing, please make them aware of this opportunity.

I'm dreaming of a sellout and scalpers clogging the entrance! :-D

Go Cats!
