4th-Rounder Johnson Back, Agrees To Deal
Posted by jellis at 6/14/2012 4:01 PM CDT on dallascowboys.com

Forced to be away from the team throughout this summer's three weeks of Organized Team Activities and the two minicamp practices on Tuesday and Wednesday, fourth-round pick Matt Johnson finally became eligible to practice with his teammates on Thursday.

Practicing for the first time since the May rookie minicamp, he became the highest draft pick on the field. First-rounder Morris Claiborne, third-rounder Tyrone Crawford and fellow fourth-rounder Kyle Wilber have been out of the summer practices with injuries.

"It's been really hard," Johnson said of his ineligibility due to Eastern Washington's quarters system. "I've kind of felt left out, like I'm not even part of the team, so it's great to be here . . . I got the playbook and I've got some films of the meetings, but it's different seeing it on the field. It's nice to get at least one practice at the speed of the game. I think I moved good, but I've just been studying, and that's really all I could do.

Johnson also said he had agreed to the terms of a contract with the Cowboys and was expecting to sign on Thursday afternoon.

To All, (VIC'S RETURNS)
Im back, Please don't shower me with any gifts :). Clawman, the team is now out until Aug 7th, I think, some of the team members are working with the High School Football Camps. Saw Ronnie Hamlin, Will Post,,
Kicker Homan, they worked on Thursday with the High School. Will Post looks like a big damn giant. He is
really going to help protect our QB. K. Padron, I can honestly tell you, we have the BEST Wide Receivers in the NCAA  , of course I may be bias, I tell it like it is. Sroreboard, should be in by Sept. 1st, then will work on one for Reese Court.

Trying to find out when the Scoreboard Project starts, then I will get my chairs, and check out the instillation. hAVE A GREAT sUNDAY, WHATS LEFT OF IT. vIC

It's about damn time Bro. Do you want me to get you a hair hat?

To All, I am glad to be back. Cody Mccarthy looks great, he said he was doing fine and can't wait for the season to get stared. Most of the team return today, including Kyle Padron, along with some of the Recruits. We will be losing some of our Players, "Grades". I promised not to release their names, will let the Coaches make that decision.

I am doing fine Health Wise so far, this old 77 year fine BOD just makes me so proud  . I now have a "Little Dun Lap Bulge, that means when your stomach done laps over your belt . Sounds confusing?.

The team is going kind of early in the mornings. No definite time schedule as yet. Nate Strength Coach said he doesn't want to push them as yet, and make some of the Players discouraged. I did check on the Pulu Brothers, they are not in as yet. Pulu younger brother, Jordan, looks like he could be as much as 250lbs when I saw him earlier this year.

If I was a Coach, and had to play EWU, I would be scared like hell. What we finished with last year, and the Recruits coming, we are going to have an Outstanding Defense. Should things go well, there are not many teams going to run the ball on us. I am going by the way our team finished the scrimmages earlier this year. Clawman was there and he saw the "D" working. Take care. Vic

To All Concerned,
Spoke with Jase Butorac (OL) yesterday, he stated some of the team is on their way home, will be back on Monday. Now I am checking out our BB Team Recruits. Jase really put some muscles on. He is walking w/o a limp. I must say he looks "GREAT". Monday went to weight room check out the players that were there lifting, they are doing a great job lifting. Saw Jabori Wilson RB, he is the image of Jesse Chapman, former RB.
Told Kyle Padron, he will have the "BEST WIDE RECEIVERS" in the NCAA, he just smiled, I am biased, all of you that attend the FB games, knows what I am talking about. Vernon Adams QB, is also bulging up with muscles. Saw Jordan Pulu, Andrew Pulu younger brother, he is like a Solid individual.
I also saw Staggs, broke his foot in practice this year, stated he will be out for at least 6 months, He was also lifting. Just be prepared for some muscular and strong PLAYERS. Strength Coach Nate, deserves a lot of credit, he is really working with those men, and they all "LOVE" him as a Coach. Good Morning. Vic

Larry Weir,
Welcome back BUDDY. I noticed you will also broadcaast Men BB, GREAT. Nothing against Dennis Patchin, it is hard to listen to anyone else after listening to you for so many years. Like I've said before, you are the best I have heard, and I have listened to many announcers. Again "WELCOME BACK LARRY' Vic

clawman,
Went on ID website checking on the tickets, they said tickets were not available as yet. How did you get yours if you did already. Looking forward to the ride down. Hope we get close so we do not have to walk very far. I remembered when Vic Jr played there in the 80's, got great parking then, we stayed at his residence, and beat the crowd. Have a great Sunday. Vic

LDopaPDX,
If I stated PULUS are not in, that was my error. They are both in and was working very hard on Monday during WEIGHTS. Andru is going to be hell on that DL. His brother Jordan is another big individual. Don't know were on the DL he is going to play. He came in as LB, he could be on the DL also  Vic
