McCoy Named MVP!
Kellen McCoy was named the 2009 Big Sky MVP. Daviin Davis, Big Sky Defensive Player of the Year. Damian Lillard, Big Sky Freshman of the Year. The is the first time is WSU history to have all 3 of these selections in the same season. Also, Davis is Weber's first ever Defensive player award winner.

The Big Sky will release all the selections later this afternoon.

Congratulations to all of our Wildcats!! McCoy has been great this season. I'm guessing Newcomer of the Year went to Johnson? No Wildcats on the Second team? I guess they had to put the PSU players somewhere.

You can see a small vid of all the award winners on http://www.bigskyconf.com and here:

You know, looking at that list, we have had a lot of memorable players at Weber.

BTW, what ever happened to old Slobie Ocokolijic? That guy teamed with Boyette was something else.

Here's what I don't understand. How can you be defensive player of the year and not even be on the all conference 2nd team?

That's a question you must ask Doug "Druggie" Fullerton.

The voting panel for the Big Sky awards were the nine head coaches. Can't blame this one on Fullerton.
