McNeese State

Why aren't we kicking it? Does coach realize that football has a kicking game? 4 lost points. Would be down by 7. Frustrating receivers too. They don't look very well coached. Running bad routes, dropped balls. Ugh!! Weber's competing though.

With another score by McNeese things don't look good. 24-6 McNeese... Just in time for another in state game to start.... Decisions decisions...

Sad, really really sad. That was one of the most pathetic halfs of football I have ever watched. I'm sick of the same Sear's excuses. Stop talking about the problems. Fix them. The DC needs to go and the offense needs to become two-dimensional. Every passing play was scripted. Never did we try to pass on first down or second down. Always on 3rd and long.

Sears and the DC need to go.

Well this is my first post, so it'll probably be a little long, but I have to say this game was very disheartening. After the last two blowouts, I was really expecting this WSU to compete, and they did for one QTR.

What the heck happened?
I'm flying the whole family from Florida next week for this?

I've never seen a defense give up as many big plays as this team does, and the backend of this defense is horrid, even though I agree with everyone else, in picking a QB and sticking with him.

Look, I get it; it's a young team in a lot of areas, and a new philosophy offensively, but I almost wish they would slow things down on offense, instead of going 3 and out in less than a minute. :wall: I hope the coaches can turn this thing around pretty quick before the turmoil reaches the locker room.

I know it sucks for my first post to be a rant, so I'm sorry for that.

At the stadium last night a Weber State family from Florida parked next to me. Saw them before and after the game. Great people. They are true fans driving that far knowing they will get rained on the whole time.

Welcome to the Wildcat family! That said, I think we are agree that the team has just been bad the past three weeks. I think we are going to see a Jekyll and Hyde with this team this year, (mostly at the QB spot). There are just too many 1st year players getting significant playing time to expect anything else. Pre-season the predictions for the first 4 games best case scenarios was 1-3 or 0-4, so it's disturbing the way we lost the past 3 games however it wasn't unexpected so to speak.

I am hoping that the wildcats can re-group this week and pull out a nice win in the friendly confines of Stewart stadium.

As for picking a QB, who do you guys want? Jordan, the career back-up with apparently bad knees or Austin, baptism by fire freshman? The probability of WSU making the playoffs this year are pretty slim with the schedule we have. There is a reason why Jordan hasn't played in the past he wasn't good enough to beat out Higgins or Hoke. Chip is young and inexperienced, so I am sure the play calling has been kept pretty simple so he isn't completely overwhelmed. Or they beg Medina to come back

I say turn the reins over to the young gun, I don't want to break in a new QB next year and go thru this all over again.

I have zero excuses for this performance. I am trying to stay positive about this team but every week it is becoming a much more difficult task. I wasn't expecting a win but I certainly wasn't expecting to see this type of beat down yet again. The offense sux, leaves the D on the field all the time, The D can't stop anyone on any down but especially NOT on 3rd down. WSU is running the wrong type of defense for the players it has. the 3-3-5 translates into 3-9 IF they are lucky  . I dont give a damn which QB plays but IF you can only complete 8 passes all game then just stick another running back back there to take snaps and then run like hell. Also for the love of all that is holy, just kick the EPHING extra point, all of WSU's opponets have that 2pt conversion well scouted by now.
This team started out with a lot of promise and confidence this season, but thanks to the BRUTAL scheduling (another topic entirely) it looks as if they have had their manhood taken away. Time for WSU football to rally and show some damn life.
Dear Defense, just strap it up and Fu@*ing hit someone on the other team.
Sure hope the administration isn't planning on raising ticket prices anytime soon. :twocents:
GO WILDCATS!!

From what I've seen I think Jordan has performed better, however, your points are very valid. We have a fair idea of who Jordan is and what he's capable of. We're told is knees are crap. I hate to call this season a bust already but I think that's what I'm saying. Not really expecting to compete in the BSC, with all of the changes, with all of the youth and inexperience, I'd probably give the nod to Chippoletti so he's hopefully ready to lead this team to much better things next year. But for the love of everything good and right, pick one and NEVER, EVER try and run a 2-QB system again-- spoiler alert: IT NEVER WORKS!

First, I'm begging Pflugrad to put 3 on the board on 4th down and when reasonably possible! Give this team SOMETHING positive instead of coming up empty every time. Maybe I'm incorrectly assuming the line won't allow every kick to be blocked?

Second, AMEN! The D needs to show some pride and to grow a set. Again, I have to assume some of them have played defensive football before.

Give us something to cheer about Saturday. GO WEBER!

Is the (back-up freshman) field goal kicker Carson Fackrell injured, (since Shaun McClain is still suspended)? That could be a reason why they keep going for 2 after a TD and don't attempt a field goal.

Speaking of suspended players, anyone hear anything about the players and if they will be playing anytime soon?
