Men vs. UCR

Site was down for a while. This is possibly the worst first half of D1 basketball in history. And that goes for both teams.
 
22-19 UCR with 2:53 in the 1st half. The Hornets have come on strong in the last couple minutes.
 
24-19 at the half. Sac needs to clean up its game. Limit the silly turnovers and some make better shot selections if they want to pull this game out. Fortunately for the Hornets, UCR is having an equally awful game with turnovers and missed shots. The first team to go on a meaningful run will probably win this one.
 
Both teams seem to half settled down and are making shots. Hornets trail by 2 early in the 2nd half.
 
Hornets are not boxing out and giving up too many 2nd chance points. Also they are no attacking in the paint on offense. They seem to pass it around the perimeter until someone gets somewhat of a decent look at a 3.
 
The officiating seems to be taking control of this game. Dickson picks up his 3rd. 43-37 with 9:30 left.
 
Hornets getting to the foul line but not making them. Daniel just missed 2 FT's. This is terrible execusion.
 
Selling hits a 3 and the Hornets take a 4 point lead. 4:50 left. Let's see if the Hornets can close the door. Timeout UCR.
 
Toles-Bey to the FT line with 24 seconds left. Hornets still down by 1. He makes them both.58-57Sac. WOW SAC lost on a buzzer beating layup. 59-58 UCR. Poor boxing out cost them right at the end. Terrible.
 
That was a tough loss. Too many missed free throws. The officials were terrible on both sides. They just got lucky at the end. Im very bitter about this loss. Came out flat out of the gate and played really well in the second half...but not making the free throws was the difference. ARGH!!!!
