Men win at Sacramento State!

I'll be up late tonight over this one. Far from having a 20-pt. lead like the women did with their win tonight, ISU's men had to scratch, claw and shoot the lights out from 3-pt. range to get this one. Now at 11-11 overall and 7-6 in league play, they now enter what may be the toughest stretch of their schedule, at Portland State Saturday afternoon, then home to host Idaho and Eastern Washington next week, then off to Montana State and Montana to close out the regular season.Kudos to the entire team tonight, but especially to Gary Chivichian for career-highs with 25 points, including 8 3-pointers, and to Jared Stutzman with a solid 20-point effort.
Here's the box score.

GO Bengals!

Good win. The Bengals were picked to finish 10th and 11th in the preseason polls, so they have clearly outperformed expectations. But they will be solid underdogs in every game remaining. It will be a good test to see how much they have grown.

The men still only have one win against D1 teams with winning records. I guess the other way to look at it is they are at least beating who they are supposed to.

Evans is now at .322 winning percent. He would never been extended at Montana, Boise or Weber after 3 years. Tingey is a bean counter with no vision he lives on student fees and body bag games and hiring on the cheap. Its time for a change. Hire someone that will hire coaches that win and bring back the fans and donors.
