I'm a bit surprised by this, actually. We lose not just 3 starters, but the top two offensive threats on the team and we are still picked to finish 1st this year. And its not just that we were picked first by both media and coaches, but that we were an overwhelming favorite to finish first in both polls. This is a tribute to where the program is. What do they say about programs like this? We don't rebuild, we just re-load.
And just think, everyone but Hajek will be back next year.

We Are Weber!!

I think the biggest competition will come from Eastern Washington this season. They have Harvey back and the rest of their lineup is pretty good. Harvery, Kelly, Miljokovich, Reid, and Jois, along with Jorge, Von Hofe, Brandon, and Hill...They have the depth and skill to compete.

I'm really shocked that Montana isn't getting as much love. They do have Dunn, Gregory, Weisner, Gfeller, Bradshaw back, along with a supposedly a solid big in Breunig now eligible. I've also heard that Edmonds and Nwosu are both great additions. Weber brought both in, but decided to pass. I think Golden and Coston were far better choices for the Cats, but nonetheless, both are good. I'm not too worried about Kemp, but who knows. He could, after a season in the program, really get his crap together and play better this season. Hmmm...we will just have to wait and see.

I think 8th for Montana is about right. Sure they have a few good players but they lost the master mind behind their success. I think it is telling that the coaches voted them 8th rather than the media, or maybe its that coaches consider bringing in a new coach a big deal.
