mens hoops recruiting info

So....I vaguely remember hearing about a guard recruit from the west valley Shayar Lee from Glendale is the name I found on rivals.com. A big from Las Vegas named Josh Lepley.

McCurdy, Landry, Geiser and Sharp graduated is my memory is right. That's four scholarship holes filled with two recruits. Was the recruiting class really that small or are there more parts to come?

Any other news or tips on where to find out such information?

Insight/info would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking for some filler during this dark joyless (at least sports wise) void known as April through October.

AggieJack,

Thanks. Don't know what to think of next years team yet. I was impressed with their younger talent but wonder about inside presence with the loss of the twin towers.

Steven Sir is playing for a team called the Edmonton Chill. A bit too far for me to take a road trip at the moment.

Yea, the team looks depleted. Now i hear that the sharp shooting freshman Zach Filzen has left the program and transfered to another school. Hopefully it won't be a rebuilding year because we have been spoiled for the last 3 years with the great teams Adras has put together. I don't see the Jacks making it back to the championship game this coming year, but I said the same thing last year and they proved me wrong. I think Josh Wilson will have a super senior season and will lead the team in points and assists, but I just don't think that will be enough.

King,

Greetings and thanks for the scoop on Filzen. He's not listed on their official roster anymore. After a quick search show he's headed to the U of Buffalo. Crap! I liked the way the kid was playing. Not what I wanted to hear but wish him well.

The mens basketball program has spoiled what few die hard fans show up but it continually saddens me that such talent and hard work isn't supported (en masse) by the college or local community. I hope Adras stays and continues to put great teams on the court.

Where in WA are you? Lotsa relatives in the Spokane area and thinking of an Amtrak trip out there if NAU plays EWU on a Saturday/Sunday.

I'm in Walla Walla, about 2 hours away from Spokane. I will probably make a few trips to Cheney this year to support NAU. I think Football is coming up here this year and basketball should also. It is pretty sad that the community in Flagstaff don't support NAU athletics as much as they should. These guys really do work hard and they should be apreciated. The community don't really know what a great thing they have there in Flagstaff. The area is beautiful and NAU is a special placel. These guys do a great job representing the University and more people should come out to the games.

Picked up this nugget of information courtesy of citygriz over at egriz.com .

Jacks with a solid (...always wonder what exactly it is that makes it solid?) commitment from a Salt Lake City point guard.
