Monster run to take the lead in the second half, and then they give up their own run to let the Redhawks back into the game. Couldn't get the defensive stop they needed to win it. Miami's guy gets a killer game-winning 4-point play (3 plus the free throw) with almost no time on the clock. Gotta cut down on the turnovers.

So close!

Well, instead of getting up and throwing the couch through the TV, I calmly said to myself, "We'll kill Prarie-View A&M" or whoever the eph they are. Anyway, I was proud of the way the team never let up. Of course, they watched a ten point lead filter down into nothing, but, oh well, it's not the end of the world. All I care about is that we sweep the Idaho State tator-tossers.

PURPLEFOGDOG- Paul the cop would be proud of you. The team played great tonight. There was absolutely no quit in them, and they played till the buzzer. And they were oh so close to finishing the game with a W. That Hayes guy was 7/7 from 3pt land. Wow...thats a once in a lifetime game! Hayes did have some help from the men in strips, but thats part of the game (i wonder if Eric Curry was one of the refs). I don't think Weber got a call in the last 8 or 9 mins of the game. Also, Turnovers, Turnovers, Turnovers....ARGH. I think D-Will had like 8. The 21 Weber State TO's cost the Cats who knows how many shot opportunities/points, and accounted for 20 Red Hawk points. Weber has got to hold onto the ball better. Even with the TO's, Hayes incredible shooting, and the Zebras, this is a team Weber can and should have beaten. I hope there wont be any let down tomorrow when the Cats play Praire View A&M.

Bullinger is going to be amazing! He was all over the place. Coach has found another gem from the Evanston area. If McCoy is 100% tonight Cats win big. McCoy is awesome for playing on a sore ankle. He was the engine behind the teams drive tonight.

Is the N. for Nugent Ogden Cat?

The 21 TO's is understandable since it was the first game. But it really sucks to shoot poorly at the line. No excuse for shooting 65% unless your Sac, but we are Weber.

No shame in this loss. From what I read (I didn't get to watch the game), it was a competitive effort from Weber against a fairly tough opponent. You always learn more from a loss, so Weber will be better because of this mild disappointment. It's just a shame they won't get a shot to knock off UCLA this early. I guess we'll have to wait until March for that.

This game was on Television????? I am going to be so pissed off. I danced around my kitchen for over an hour listening to it on 1430 KLO.
I hate to blame the ref's for a game that I did not see. But the wildcat, and dutch made it sound aweful. I hope that this was not the case. The more agressive a team, the more fouls they are going to be called for.
The Cat's played thier hearts out, and did not leave anything on the court. I am so proud of those boys, and how hard they played. I can not say enough about how well Bullinger, McCoy, Hansen, and Davis played. I know that they had a lot TO's, but that has been a problem in Coachs teams in the past. The unselfishness of his teams will turn the ball over.
The other problem on the O-side of the game is the moving screens. PANOS has to set his feet before the contanct occures. His is the major offender of this. I know that this is a major part of the game plan, and it will continue, but they have to get set quicker.

A few of us were worried about rebounding, considering that Artie (the most prolific rebounder in recent memory) has graduated, and our relative lack of height/size without Valeka. I was glad to see that the men in Purple owned the backboards last night, out-rebounding the Redhawks 32-25.
