Mighty mights vs Goliaths

This years BSC recruiting saw many new entrants 6'10'' and up. Many teams added more size than they have had recently. What the impact might be is a question yet to be answered.

The other thing happening is a substantial number of players entering who are 6' and under. These smaller players look to have a more significant impact. Several teams already had some of these guys. UM has two returning and has brought more in. We had Jerrick and brought Doc into the fold. ISU has added a 5'7'' point guard who shows some skill. NAU brought in two or three who look to have an impact. PSU signed a talented 6' freshman. SUU brought in a 5'11'' point guard. Sac brought in a 5'10'' point and a 5'11'' SG to go along with 2 similar returning players. UNC brought in a 5'9'' point guard. Bucking that trend are EWU, UI, UND, and MSU.

I don't remember a time, recently, when there were this many bigs or smalls. Teams may well adjust their attacks to make greater efforts to force switching and mismatches. How teams deal with that may determine who gets the higher seeds in Reno.
