Mikh McKinney Big Sky Player of the Week

 :notworthy:

He also hit the 1k mark in career scoring last night.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Sacramento State senior guard Mikh McKinney was named the Big Sky Conference's Player of the Week after putting together a monster week in which he helped lead the Hornets to a victory over Cal State Fullerton followed by a nail-biting loss to Portland.

McKinney averaged 26.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 6.5 steals and 37.5 minutes per game. He shot .600 (21-35) from the field and 1.000 (9-9) from the free throw line while leading the Hornets in total points, rebounds, assists, steals and minutes during the week.

If those numbers weren't enough, he also became the 13th player in school history to score 1,000 career points late in Sunday's game against Portland. The Union City, Calif., native has already hit the milestone despite playing less than two and a half years in a Hornet uniform after transferring from Ohlone College prior to his sophomore season.
