Certainly deserving and congrats to the Gunslinger. Now go get us some more. :thumb:

Mitchell, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound senior from Katy, Texas, completed 28-of-39 passes for 400 yards with three touchdown passes in Eastern Washington’s 48-27 victory over Northern Colorado. Mitchell also ran for a touchdown. Mitchell threw TD passes of 19, 12 and 42 yards. The 12-yarder to Greg Herd and the 42-yarder to Nicholas Edwards helped the Eagles pull away late in the third quarter after Northern Colorado had cut the lead to 27-20. Mitchell finished with an efficiency rating of 183.3. This is Mitchell’s second straight Player of the Week honor.

When he plays like that, our offense is on a whole different level.
Really too bad he was not at that level in Missoula.

Indeed. Or Vermillion, for that matter.

But hey, it's a lot harder when your OL is different week in and week out.

It was Northern Colorado people. It's great, but it's no real feat. Good news is, he's at least been consistent the last two weeks, so there is that. So long as he and they take that play to Sac State, there's no reason it shouldn't continue on.

Listen in to the coaches show tonight. Heard rumblings that will likely be confirmed by Baldwin tonight.

The USD game I wouldnt really put on BLM. The entire team played like shit. You had players giving up on plays and the effort was just not there. Glad that nightmare stretch is over with. Mitchell is on fire right now, and it is a lot of fun to watch him and Edwards and the rest.

His accuracy has improved and just like at NAU it was nice to see him pack one up and run it for a first down. Nice game.

BLM and this Eagle offense are still a mystery to me. We see what the team can do when it sticks to throwing the ball, but will it Saturday against the Hornets? Or will we try to nickel and dime our way downfield with Brown, Forte, and Talley? Mitchell seems to have put the mistakes behind him, so I say throw Clark, Herd, and Edwards the ball early and often. Our defense has been coming up with some big plays of late, but they bend too much for my taste. We can't afford to give the opposition short fields to work with if we're unable to run the ball and have to punt. This is surely the biggest hurdle left on our way to 7-4. I pray BLM passes his way over it.
