Montana @ Idaho

Now that we've played both with the same result, could Idaho beat the Friz in their dome? Other than another grand child I can't think of anything better!!

I don't know what Montana's QB situation is right now, but I'm also not sure it matters. Montana has a lot of talent at other positions, while Idaho simply doesn't. The only way I see Montana losing to Idaho is if they totally lay an egg.

Maybe, but the Montana that played us a few weeks is a different team that’ll face Idaho. I could see them losing that one on the road.

Agree. Montana isn't that broken. Expect Hauck to get them back on track. Idaho on the other hand, may be out for the count after this past Saturday... Montana had chances to win that game and just fudged it up.

Montana’s a train wreck right now but still probably not bad enough to lose to the Idaho team we played yesterday…Qb issues notwithstanding.

The only advantage I see for Idaho is that they're at home, and maybe Montana won't adapt well to playing in a dome. I think Hauck is a pretty good coach, and he has light years more talent at his disposal than Petrino does. I know Idaho fans think Petrino is a mess, but his in-game coaching seems fine to me. He does his best to give his team a shot, but my God, they are devoid of talent. Idaho, for whatever reason, really struggles to get players. Montana is awfully good if you exclude the offensive skill positions; in those positions they're mediocre.

We saw that Idaho can't cover a decent WR. Montana has a couple. Montana needs to go against "type" and start fast instead of their boa constrictor slow squeeze, slowly warming frog in the pot style. Score quickly a couple of times early and Idaho shouldn't be able to keep up.

Don't know if Montana can make that adjustment. Barring that, as you say Dopa; they have a lot more talent than Idaho and should still win the contest. I don't really care if Montana loses every game all the way out.

Know people are concerned how this might effect possible seeding.. I am not a "seeding" specialist, but as long as Eastern takes care of it's business and goes 1-0 every week, they win the BigSky and maintain a top 4 seed or better. All the Eagles can do is manage themselves. Still have some ground to cover. So far the results have been spectacular. :D

Agreed a whole lot of ground to cover...MSU ranked....UCDAVIS ranked and WSU no slouch...then their is always PSU lurking in the woods waiting to pounce...they were up at half against Montana State earlier and drubbed ISU pretty bad who we all know knocked off UC Davis.....1-0 this week Let's GO!
