The only advantage I see for Idaho is that they're at home, and maybe Montana won't adapt well to playing in a dome. I think Hauck is a pretty good coach, and he has light years more talent at his disposal than Petrino does. I know Idaho fans think Petrino is a mess, but his in-game coaching seems fine to me. He does his best to give his team a shot, but my God, they are devoid of talent. Idaho, for whatever reason, really struggles to get players. Montana is awfully good if you exclude the offensive skill positions; in those positions they're mediocre.
We saw that Idaho can't cover a decent WR. Montana has a couple. Montana needs to go against "type" and start fast instead of their boa constrictor slow squeeze, slowly warming frog in the pot style. Score quickly a couple of times early and Idaho shouldn't be able to keep up.
Don't know if Montana can make that adjustment. Barring that, as you say Dopa; they have a lot more talent than Idaho and should still win the contest. I don't really care if Montana loses every game all the way out.
Know people are concerned how this might effect possible seeding.. I am not a "seeding" specialist, but as long as Eastern takes care of it's business and goes 1-0 every week, they win the BigSky and maintain a top 4 seed or better. All the Eagles can do is manage themselves. Still have some ground to cover. So far the results have been spectacular.
