I love it when the Montana people buy GA tickets, park their arses in our reserved seats that we've had for the better part of a decade, then give us attitude when we politely ask them to move.

How did we not lose by 20+ today?

Defensively we were pretty inconsistent. We showed some really good defense at times, but completely blew assignments at other times.

Offensively, we're a wreck. It's either motion with barely any movement, or a guard driving the lane into three guys. It literally reminded me of playground basketball in the second half. Also, why don't we set some decent screens to get some shooters open? Especially Harthun who is hitting around 46% from the field and like 42% from three land.

One good take away from today was Parker's play. I wasn't happy with the turnovers, but he was strong on the glass and had a hell of a block.

Frustrating home games this past week.
 
Yes how did they not lose by 20! Big props to Montana defense but you are right I had no idea what our plan was on offense. But I don't think the team did either. Add to that being careless with passes and horrible ft shooting in the last part of the game. The only bright side is the way they fought at the end and consider what this Griz team has done to the rest of the Big Sky so far (save WSU)... mangled everyone by double digits.
 
Our offense seems to have little to no direction, and opposing defenses just need a little bit of pressure to force us into horrible passing decisions. And, when we did attack, we missed the open shot or got called for travelling (the reffing on that was an absolute joke).

What are our guards doing? They're running around the arc without any real direction. This is why I miss Harriel; he would have attacked and kept the defenders honest.

Harthun is awesome. Without him, we would have lost by 20+.

We still can't rebound when it counts. How many times did we lose a chance to put points on the board because only one of our players was on the glass against three Montana players? Where are the guards?

Overall, a real mess.

This all goes to show we need to conference-up and affiliate and associate with like-minded socially-responsible people and not with those who live the law of the untamed West. We live in a society and have relationships with people. They live on the land and have a relationship with the elements. :D :coffee:

We need to move up and boycott playing them for about a five year incubation period. :thumb: :nod:
 
I agree. We wouldn't do that to them if we went out to Missoula, so why do they feel it necessary to do it to us?
