Didn'r see this:

Big Sky suspends Montana State safety
Ogden, UT (Sports Network) - The Big Sky Conference suspended Montana State safety Jordan Craney on Tuesday for one game for his hit above the shoulders on a defenseless Eastern Washington receiver in last Saturday's game.

Craney, a senior, will be suspended for Montana State's game Saturday at Sacramento State, Big Sky commissioner Doug Fullerton announced Tuesday.

The violation occurred in the second quarter of Montana State's 30-7 victory over Eastern Washington last Saturday in Bozeman, Mont.

So this is the second week in a row that MSU has had a player suspended due to a "helmet to helmet" or "hit to the head of a defenseless player." First the hit to the Drake QB that put him out with a concussion, now the hit to Edwards. Hmmm seems like a trend.

It looks like he went high and led with his helmet. The refs will call that every time regardless of who does it.

Definitely a good call - the suspension is probably warranted.

EWU lb Wilkins was suspended on a similar play on Weber's Tim Toone last year...........they'll make that call every time these days.

The Wilkins hit was NOT helmet to helmet.

The player will be suspended every time, unless he plays for Montana. Then you can just whine about how it shouldn't have even been a penalty.

Look at the 1:40 mark in this clip:

They are suspended from the game, which means that they cannot participate in a game.
They are NOT suspended from the team which means they can practice and travel, if the coaches are willing to give up a roster spot on the plane. As a Captain they must of felt that his leadership was worth having on the sideline, he was not however allowed to participate in the coin toss.
