Scott Mansch of the Great Falls Tribune mentions some non-conference opponents for Frontier Conference teams next season:

Western will play at Idaho State next year as the Bulldogs continue their tour around the Big Sky Conference.

In August, the Dogs lost 62-6 at Weber State. A year ago, Western fell 52-13 at Eastern Washington.

goodness, I hate these types of games, ISU shouldn't have to play Arizona State and Montana-Western shouldn't have to play ISU. It says a lot about what is wrong with college football.

Ideally, I think we'd all like to see ISU put itself into a position where it can play an all FCS schedule year in and year out (from both a financial and competitive standpoint). However, for a team which is trying to rebuild and in desperate need of wins, I'm glad to see UM-Western on the schedule. Most schools "play down" for a game or two (be it BSU, BYU, Utah, or most of the Big 12), and ironically enough, EWU and Weber State both beat UM-Western during playoff years (so it won't necessarily hurt any chance of a playoff bid).
