Makes perfect sense. She was a legend there, has been part of the program for ages and if things do "fall off" for a little bit during the adjustment period, UM fans will be less likely to overreact given who she is.

The bigger question is who the two new assistants will be with Trish (Olson) Duce also leaving. Schweyen & Duce were the 5th. & 6th. longest tenured assistants in DI, according to gogriz. Sonya (Rogers) Stokken's resume is a bit thin for a lead assistant.
