Assistant Coach Dominique Bukasa has been hired as the head coach at Lassen Community College.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — After three seasons as an assistant at Sacramento State, Dominique Bukasa is leaving the Hornets to become the head men’s basketball coach at Lassen Community College, it was announced today.

Bukasa becomes the second Hornet assistant in the last two months to receive a head coaching job, as Brady Bergeson was named the head coach at Western Oregon in April.

Bukasa, who has 10 years of coaching experience, began his Sacramento State coaching tenure in 2008-09. His duties with the Hornets included recruiting, working with the post players and scheduling. In addition, he was the team’s travel coordinator and assisted with scouting and academic development.

Walker has local ties and played under Katz at Delta before moving on to play at Oklahoma. He was an assistant coach at Sierra College last season. I like this addition.
