High school AP and honors courses are typically weighted with a higher point value - it is possible to have a 4.5 and higher GPA...... not just for football players....

Wow... any school that gives a better than 4.0 should be looked at suspisciously. The only reason to do it is to inflate a grade point average so a kid looks better on paper. I've heard some high schools do this so they get more college looks for their kids, but I've never heard of a college doing it. Frankly, I think it's a little embarrassing for Montana State to be handing out better-than-A grades. Harvard doesn't do it. Stanford doesn't either. But lo and behold that Rocky Mountain Center for Excellence is doing it.

4.0+ is high school gpa. Which isnt uncommon for many of the guys on this team. Big change from the Kramer years.

hahaha I love that this thread has downgraded into talking shit about academics. I know many people who have graduated from both institutions. Some are incredibly bright and would fit in at any university in the country. Others are total morons, and it's a miracle they graduated high school, let alone college. My point is, it's less about the school and more about how hard you're willing to work and the effort you put into your education.

In other news, I'm getting cable installed on Sat. morning at my new place. If the Comcast guy is late, I may be forced to break his legs. 2 more days! Go Eags!
