MSU

Feel good game so far... hope Drew can get the Triple Double... 6 pts, 12 rebounds, 6 assists with ~8:30 to go... long shot but doable.

HUGE WIN!!
Too bad for the Ladies...the game looked like it was in slow motion...Nelson held to 0 points (when I turned it off after getting tired of the feed)...that will be the last time that happens.

This game was exactly what we needed. We could've beaten them by 40 had we not started subbing. Bring that focus, aggression and teamwork against UM, and we will win by 10+.

It became kind of like an exhibition game late in the second half. Glad to see Fred get some time and be effective. Looking at the stats though shooting % are still pretty weak. Parker and Tyler were not even close to their capabilities and "the blizzard" has been kind of quite lately.
On a more positive note, Venky was an animal. 24 of his 27 points came in the paint, no 3pt attempts, 3-of 6 from the line. And pulling down 11 rebounds, he owned the paint!

We ALL know Tyler can hit the 25-28 footer. But WHY does he need to attempt them so often. I could tell last night Hayford was pissed when he came down and fired up a brick from 26 feet with 25+ secs on the shot clock. He pulled him right out of the game. For a guy who is struggling to get his shot back, why doesn't he show a little selectiveness on his shots? If open, and in rhythm jack up a 25 footer, but no need to continue to force them.

Also, once Harvey makes two 3's in a row, is it a god mandated law he must shoot a 3rd the next time down the court? The proverbial "heat check". This stuff bugs me, sorry!

It bugs Coach too I think which is why Harvey got pulled multiple times after bad shots. Coach doesn't mind missed shots if they are good looks, but he won't put up with making bad decisions. Harvey was shooting better last night though, still not at his pre injury levels... Hopefully that foretells a return to form and combined with some better shot selection our offense could really get sparked. It will be tough against Montana though, very good defensively.
