MUSIC FOR GAMES

There are many people on here who really HATE the music that Joe is playing. So, lets get a list together that we can email to him and just MAYBE he will change his ways. I doubt it though, because one of his friends flipped me off when I told them that the music SUCKED!!!! Anyway.........

1. Joker and the Thief - Wolfmother
2. Back in Black - AC/DC
3. Welcome to the Jungle - Motley Crue
4. For Whom the Bell Tolls - Metallica

They used to play The Beautiful People by Marilyn Manson at every game, but I only remember hearing it once this year. That's a good one that I like.

How about "empire state of Mind" by Jay-z
I am of the opinion that there is WAY too much dead air at the basketball games. Go to a Jazz game and you get a game and a rock concert all in one. Why won't WSU play music during every timeout?

I agree, the atmosphere at the games hasn't been very good this year. In addition to more and better music, the cheerleaders and band could do a much better job at getting involved and getting the crowd involved. Anyway, how about Icky Thump by The White Stripes.

I have enjoyed the halftime entertainment this year, though. That Chinese chick flipping bowls onto her melon was very impressive.

Disappointed doesn't even describe how bad the music has been. Thats just the nature of the campus right now. Who cares about doing -even- a decent job, let alone a good job. Also, I guess boosters, fans, sponsors, and alumni dont really matter. Oh wait, aren't we the ones who give money to the school? Who pay for season tickets? Who are loyal supporters that want to see Weber and its programs successful and progressing? Yeah, I guess we aren't very important. Joe and his crappy djing skills are more important.

The guy that flipped you off is a Weber State employee, maybe you should drop a quick email to Bovee, who is his boss, and maybe, just maybe, you'll get a heartfelt apology. That kind of stuff should not be happening, espcially to a renown booster as yourself. If I was the AD, he'd be given some interesting assignments for his actions: Cleaning Toilets at the stadiums for instance or asked to leave. That shouldn't be permitted under any circumstance. That just proof of the lack of professionalism at Weber State.

I know they played it at the last home game when I was hoping they would play Joker and the theif

I agree, the music does suck this year. What is their rationale for playing the sucky music? Is it pride? They don't want to admit that they picked crappy music?
A person who makes a mistake and quickly fixes it upon recognizing their mistake is thought of as intelligent and competent.
A person who makes a mistake and then tries to hide, rationalize, or ignore their mistake is thought of as a fool and incompetent.

Which are you Joe?

Joe is costing the university.

Tal, you would only make him clean toilets? Hell, I'd fire his a$$! If one of my employees was flipping off a season ticket holding booster, his A$$ would be gone!! Joe and his lover better start listen to the boosters more, all I've got to say is, Where is KIM now? You could be next JOE.

I too agree with this thread. When it comes down to to, you have to give the people (fans) why they want. For example, a monkey wants bannanas so why give him a orange? It doesn't make sense. Thousands of people go to concerts and such becuase that's what they want. Music is a very powerful and important tool. Why not play music that society likes? Play current popular music that makes people feel that if they were at their own home. If people are entertained more than just basketball, they will always come back for more!! Please do what the people want!

What, no requests for 'The Nuge' from N.OgdenCat? Surely some Stranglehold, Cat Scratch Fever, or Free-For-All would energize the team and fans. I mean with lyrics like "I make the pus*y purr with
The stroke of my hand", how could you not be energized? But maybe, like the rest of us, N.OgdenCat knows that making requests to Strand will do no good because he ain't going to listen anyway.

Wow.. thats great!

it won't do any good, but hey I think we should start the games and the second half with the joker and the thief, it used to get the crowd and players going, oh but I guess we wouldn't want to do that, perhaps we should play Barry Manilow and put them to sleep..........

Wildcat Mafia Boss, we are blessed that our respective families are not rivals. wouldn't want anyone to get whacked around here.

Ciao amici,

what have i ever done to make you treat me so disrespectful?

someday, and that day may never come i may call on you to do a service for me.

i think we need to call a meeting with the heads of the 5 families on friday afternoon prior to the big game. if not, im gonna make all of you an offer you can't refuse.

grazie,

Don Catcatorleone

i would hate to send one of you a message.....say for example that SMJCPA now sleeps with the fishes. Don't be alarmed if he isnt at the game.
