Wow... how did we not look into this as a potential game to add as a 5th home game? Mississippi Valley State is a terrible FCS team that we'd destroy... this seems like it would have been a perfect fit for what we were looking for. This seems to fit our schedule a LOT better than flying to Vermillion, SD for one of 3 consecutive road games to open our national championship defense.

Yeah, these guys would've fit nicely as a 5th home game. Not sure if this info was available at the time or not.
Said it before in a previous thread, but although having only 4 true home games is a bummer to be sure, the positive side is that all of them should be packed, and we have a good chance of keeping the home streak on the inferno alive.

Call me a pessimist, but what makes me cringe is that we could start the season with 2 or more losses before we even play at home. You want to talk about a potential momentum killer....
I know we're good enough to avoid that, but you shouldn't ever get caught scheduling yourself into a hole.
