MWC opts to hold off on vote for expansion...

This basically means that they're waiting for the big (12) boys to land before deciding to vote on expansion... Still doesn't rule out a WAC opportunity this summer...

If the Pac 10 adds the Big12 south, there is no telling what would happen. The WAC could literally fall off the map, need one or two teams, or stay as is.

I know football is driving this, but some of these schools need to look at all of their sports and travel costs. Womens tennis teams from Waco and College Station going to Pullman? Corvallis?

Crazy stuff...

There are some articles saying the MWC is going to sit and wait to see what happens with the Big 12. If the Texas schools join the Pac 10 and Nebraska and Mizzou join the Big 10; this would leave Kansas, Kansas State, and Colorado with no where to go but the MWC. This would put the MWC at 12 teams which would mean it would be doubtful that they take Boise State.

No way La. Tech can sustain the travel, they have a lower budget than Sac State and play a full WAC schedule. The State of Louisiana is actually talking about closing 6-8 state universities, whole campuses, and I am sure Ruston is feeling the squeeze.

I don't see them staying long and will join C-USA, so even if Boise stays, there will be an opening.
