we have a shot at the one seed or at least the 2. as of wed night:
1. suu 10-2: split w/ weber. didnt play ewu
2. wsu 11-3: didnt play ewu, split with suu
ewu 11-3; didn't play weber or suu.
we dont have to worry about a crazy tie breaking scenario because suu and ewu have 1 game left each and weber 2. suu will play 14 conf games, weber 16 and ewu 15.
if they all win out:
1. suu 12-2
2. wsu 13-3
3. ewu 12-3
if suu loses 1 and weber/ewu win out:
1. wsu 13-3
2. ewu 12-3
3. suu 11-3
if all 3 lose on thurs/fri, its not over:
1. suu 10-3
2. wsu/ewu 11-4
it looks like we will have an outright champ due to the uneven number of total games played by the 3 top teams.
so when we got to boise, hopefully as the 1 seed, i would like to see weber play griz in the quarter and then in the semi idaho state, then an all utah championship game. if i were in reno and were betting on who makes it i would have ewu in the final and not suu. i could be wrong but suu is 14-0 at home and 3-3 on the road. i dont feel confident they will sweep the vikings in portlandia.
