• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

My Reno Experience

Overall, the drive to Reno wasn't bad. We did get tickets in Elko and Winnemucca, so watch out for changes in the speed limit and speed traps. I never thought of Reno as having much to offer, but we were pleasantly surprised. The city is much more convenient to get around in than Vegas. The bars have a local feel and we met some friendly people from UNR. From our experience, the police do an excellent job at keeping the streets safe. The city has some cool neighborhoods, nice parks, and a Riverwalk that has great people watching. The arena is the right size for this event and would be more exciting with more fans.

Now, if you could just locate it in the middle of the BSC, it would be perfect.

Speeding tickets in Elko AND Winnemucca? That'll drive the price of your Reno experience up 2 to 3 hundred bucks....OUCH!
I hate Nevada Roscoe P. Coltrain wannabees!

It was a fun tournament but this year had lower attendance than last year. With 1 more left in Reno and UND leaving I wonder if it will go back to the old format.

We had good weather and I stayed up til 2am every night gambling with wazzuwildcat and purplemaineblackbear.

PurpleBlood come earlier next yr it might be the last one.

PurpleBlood is a great traveling Weber fan. He was in St Louis last yr at our game vs Xavier. Once he called me and we went to straight to the airport with no bags or even a toothbrush to see Weber play UNLV.

The highlight of the trip was going to the international bowling museum.

All those great legends played there like Big Ern McCracken and Roy Munson.
