Great shooting but little else. How does PSU's summary of the game say a official sellout? There may have been 200 people there. There is one post left and she has been emasculated by the coach. If makes little difference defensively since the T-Birds did what they wanted inside before Brock was injured. Does anyone teach interior defense to these women?

emasculate ....probably would use a different word but get your point ! Wonder if Weber will beat us? Hope not...

It is a real shame for the players. They shot well and played good on the offensive end and had a real chance to win at the end. I would think that Brock will be back if it is an ankle, but they still will have problems defending the interior and they rely almost entirely on the outside jumper with little efforts to get the ball inside. This has been a pattern of play for years at PSU and the Thunderbirds feasted in the paint. The coaching scheme, for some reason, does not seem to stress interior defense which is mainly positioning and hard work. When you have Moreland killing PSU inside, why not deny her the ball and do whatever is necessary to block her out of the offensive glass?

What's with the ford auto topic? what are you smoking anyway? Denying the inside pass seems to be a problem that is historical but scoring in the paint did occur in a more balanced fashion in the not so distant pass. Misa brings that component as does Brock. Too bad she got injured hope it's not bad.

That's it..the T-Birds.. From watching the games on Big Sky TV, it appears that the majority of Brock's scoring is from mid-range jumpers to 3 pointers. Brock plays as a forward, not as a post. Check out points in the paint stats and you will see that PSU seldom outscores its opponents in the paint and gets absolutely hammered by teams with real posts. Even with Misa, the team often was stats like: Seattle 50 Portland 18 in the paint. I mean, let's face it, how do you lose when you shoot 60% from the field?
