Nation's Longest Win Streak

From what I can see, correct me if I am wrong.

The nation's longest win streak.

1. Memphis 18
2. Seattle 10
3. Weber 9
3. LSU 9

Memphis will likely go to the Big Dance at 24 straight, Seattle will finish the season at Washington, #1 in Pac 10. LSU is at Kentucky next, and SEC tourney will be tough but they will be the 1 seed.

I think if we can keep winning and make the Big Dance we could have the 2nd longest streak...just like 2003. Kentucky as No. 1 and we were No. 2 with 17 in a row.

As of before the Thursday, NAU at Weber game:

WEBER STATE WIN STREAK STATS . . .

The Wildcats current NINE-GAME WIN STREAK is the longest since 2002-03 when the Wildcat won 17 straight, including a perfect 16-0 mark in regular season play. That streak was stopped in the NCAA Tournament with an 81-74 loss to Wisconsin. . . . The Wildcats have averaged 72.3 ppg during the win streak and allowed just 61.7. . . . Weber State has been strong on the defensive end holding it’s last nine opponents to just .409 shooting from the field and .339 from the three-point line. On the other side, the Wildcats have shot just over 46 percent from the field, 36 percent from the three-point line and a solid .745 (172-231) from the three throw line. . . . The Wildcats have been careful with the basketball as well, averaging just 12.44 turnovers per game while forcing 15.11. . . . Individually, DAMIAN LILLARD (6-2, 180 Fr. Guard) has been WSU’s scoring leader during the streak. Lillard has averaged 14.2 ppg and is 38-44 (.864) from the line. He’s also averaged 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assist per game as well. KELLEN McCOY (5-6, 180 Sr. Guard) has averaged 13.6 and is 40-49 (.816) from the line. DAVIIN DAVIS (6-4, 190 Sr. Forward) has averaged 12.2. ... The leading rebounder for the Wildcats in the last nine games has been KYLE BULLINGER (6-6, 210 RsFr. Forward) at 5.0 per game. Bullinger has averaged 9.7 ppg as well.

The nation's longest win streak.

1. Memphis 20
2. Weber 11
3. Seattle 10
3. LSU 10
3. Creighton 10

Only 6 teams in DI that have just 0 or 1 loss in conference play.

Make that 12 in a row.

1. Memphis 20 (2 games left 3/4 and 3/7)
2. Weber 12
3. LSU 10 (2 games left 3/4 and 3/7)
3. Creighton 10 (season over)

It would be really neat if Weber ends up with the longest winning streak in the nation. Even though that might happen, I believe Weber can tack on a couple more.
