NAU hoops @ Santa Clara U (Tuesday March 15)

I am stoked about this. Santa Clara's a fun venue to watch a game. Their student section, when I attended the West Coast Conference tourney in the past, can bring the noise. Nick Larson's folks were athletes there and his dad named him after Nick Vanos, whose number is retired from SCU and was an NBA draftee of the Phoenix Suns.

Every time a UofA friend gets obnoxious about how great their basketball program is, an effective comeback has been to say any combination of the following terms: "Steve Nash", "1993 NCAA tournament", "SCU upsets #2 seed". That was a great day in the NCAAs for the little guy.

Looking forward to listening to Tuesday night's game. A poster over at Santa Clara's site (http://scufanscom.yuku.com/forums/2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) said they often have video feeds for non-televised games.

This link was provided by a SCU fan:

Maybe the ustream link on the right side of the page? Don't know for sure but it's worth a shot.

Thanks for the links. Can't wait for the game. Here I though our season was over and I was feeling devastated after the way we lost to UNC. I was feeling down and angry because of the way the refs treated our guys :( :( Thank God we get a chance at redemption. Hope to see better refs against Santa Clara.

Don't know much about this team, but from their stats, they seem like a solid team. I would love nothing more for the Jacks to beat them and advance to the next round. I want to see Cam Jones continue to climb up the Big Sky coring ranks. He's very close to catching a few other players. Hope he does well against SC and hope we show up to play. It would be nice to have a storm of 3'ssss. Are you listening Eric Pratt, Jones, and Gabe Rogers???? :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

King -

Is the bigskytv.org linkup working for you? No go for me. Completely frustrated but at least I get to listen to the internet radio link (bigtalkerradio.com).

Oh, and 20 minutes til game time. I like watching hoops at the Leavey Center. Wish I was there tonight.

Currently wondering exactly why I'm listening....turnovers, turnovers, turnovers.

Limit those and start hitting at least an occasional 3 pointer and NAU's right back in this game. Santa Clara is a hot and cold team. When they're on - look out. But they're often not on.

Let's go, Lumberjacks.

not looking good, but still got plenty of time. Comon Jacks, catch fire. Looks like we're committing lots of fouls. Comon Jacks I wanna hear lots of "Bangs" from Mitch.

man, those fouls. You can't even fart on those guys cause they'll call a foul. Rogers having a hard time. Comon Jacks fight through this. Good God 4 on Jones.

Hmm...I think these refs call as many fouls as the average Big Sky referee does.

If Cam's out then NAU's probably toast. :ohno:

Are these the same refs from a week ago in Greeley? I smell a conspiracy!!

Take away all the missed 3's, hit more free throws and stop turning it over and it's a whole different game. As if it's that easy, right?

Why do these refs always have to suck against us. It seems like we always get the short end of the stick. Those turnovers by our guys aren't helping the cause. :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

I cannot remember Cameron Jones fouling out in a game. At least their big scorer - Foster - is in the same boat. Lots of time left.

Hitting free throws. Way to go, Shane.

With the way this is being called, how is it that no one has fouled out yet?
