Next opportunity at home. Winnable game ? Yes. Likely win ? No. But always a chance! There's NO QUIT in this Wildcat football team!!! Lumberjacks are swaggering in after a big 28-27 win over Eastern Washington at home in front of nearly 10K fans. Maybe ripe for a letdown. NOT GIVING UP ON THESE WILDCATS, they have been competitive in every game this year & under some tough circumstances lately. GO WILDCATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NAU has proven themselves to being a better home team than a road team. Road losses to U South Dakota and U Northern Colorado back this up.

I see there's an 80% chance of rain in Ogden on Saturday. A snow storm has almost guaranteed an NAU loss in the past in this series.

I expect the usual tough, grind it out game on the road in Ogden.

WSU is proving to struggle more offensively as the season goes and still really hasn't been able to stop shooting themselves in the foot.

Don't bank on the weather forecast any more than on Weber's chances of getting THE win against NAU. Weber hasn't had much weather aside from a little wind vs PSU and a little heat @Sac to be used to or try and think of as an advantage. It's a turf field now so short of snow and ice, I don't see much of a disadvantage for the 'Jacks.

This Weber team competes and hasn't been embarrassed-- I like to think they won't be Saturday either-- but I just don't see NAU as a team they beat this year.

The two deep says that Tela is playing on Saturday. A week after being carted off the field?
I've learned that the two deep isn't a reliable source of information. In fact, when it comes to the depth chart and injuries, there isn't a reliable source. :wall:

About the only use I have found for the 2 deep is to wipe dog poop off my boots with. IT contains absolutely ZERO useful information and is seldom updated or correct.

Why even include it in the weekly game notes? Athletics really leaves one wondering. Do they forget that they are representing an institution of higher learning? We all know marketing is a joke. I thought we could trust the SID.

I was hoping that NAU would come into Ogden and maybe over look the cats, but looking at NAU's remaining schedule I don't see them doing that. They play nothing but the bottom of the league from here on out.
@WSU (0-8)
vs UC-D (1-6)
@ North Dak (3-5)
vs SUU (2-7)
looking at this, NAU has a great chance of making the playoffs.

So frustrating watching this team. Poor execution, is it lack of talent from the players or poor coaching. Hope next year is better!

That was one hell of a momentum swing-- 0-29 and the all too familiar penalties, turnovers, inability to complete passes, and inability to get many stops. In what looked to be their best effort this season, arguably turns into their worst. I'd have to go back and check but I don't believe Weber went 0-29 at any point this season, at home no less. It looked like NAU sandbagged the first quarter just for a challange. Very difficult loss.

From where I was sitting Saturday, that targeting call on Mitch Tulane was complete BULL CRAP!! The Big Sky continues to be an embarrassment and the Ref's are a complete joke every week. I don't think the ref's determined the outcome, but I think its pathetic when a kid gets ejected for making a solid football play.
