NAU will come in ready to play, they may be going through a rough year right now and I do expect to win by at least 10 but the Jacks are still gonna come in and like every team against us we will see their best game.
I hope more people show up tomorrow than they did yesterday, Im sure the game being on TV had something to do with it. Game tomorrow is not on TV.

I also think that we will get NAU's best effort. I just don't know how effective they can be after what happened to them in Poky last night. NAU has been all over the place this year. They can be good at times and poor at other times. Saturday will be gut check time for them.WILDCAT said:

The cube spinner was entertaining at halftime last night. Saturday's halftime will be Quick Change.
I hope we get a bigger crowd for this one. The crowd was good last night, just not as big as it should have been. There is a lot of colds and flu going around. That could limit things a bit.

To beat us the Jacks will need to out rebound us, probably will happen, out shoot us, probably won't happen, and out defend us, probably won't happen.
Like I said before, the Jacks have been up and down, mostly down, this season. Are they capable of beating us? Sure, anything is possible. Is it likely to happen? No.
I'm hoping that we get a better effort on the boards than we had against SUU. Also, when they send 4 guys to the offensive glass, like SUU did, we need to make them pay for it by getting the fast break bucket. The Jacks are going to turn the ball over a bit. We need to make them pay for that by taking care of the ball ourselves and scoring at a high rate when they turn it over.

Kaluna showed up. Nobody else on NAU has. Martin will produce at some point this game but the young guards and wings on NAU's rosters just don't have any semblance of consistency to speak of.

Down last two seasons (including this one) to be specific. Their CIT tourney championship team two years ago was senior loaded. Last year the Jacks had 2 or 3 starters out the whole year or injured part of the year and their huge freshman class was not ready. Yanku couldn't carry the team and seemed out of sorts by the end of the year. There was a falling out of some sort with the coaching staff and he left the team in the off season. This season has been more of the same as they're down two starters to injury (point guard Neeley and shooting guard Torry Johnson) and one freshman who was expected to contribute (post Ray Robinson). Last year's freshmen are now sophomores and occasionally showing more promise. But the team has too much youth and not enough players who have an easy time putting the ball in the hoop.
And in the time it took me to type that a 4 point NAU deficit turns into a 10 point deficit. *sigh*

The zone made the game sloppy, but the NAU players looked gassed by the two minute mark. Glad we came away with the win. We will probably see the zone more this year. I liked the big center for NAU.
Overall, we looked good. Man, I don't give Senglin the credit he deserves. Boy can shoot!

Solid win, although again, as we are accustomed to seeing, we fell apart a bit against the press down the stretch. Jeremy is now only three treys away from owning the Big Sky Conference career 3-pointers record. It's a bummer that we won't get to see it broken at home. Also, Hill with 6 effing blocks!! He was a beast out there tonight.

Even with their big man scoring at will, we didn't adjust our D much at all. We played them straight up. One of these days, we may see a little defensive strategy employed against a monster like that. It really isn't cheating.

From what I heard about Dusty is that his back has been giving him problems. Plus NAU has a traditional roster that is fairly deep with talented bigs. Could you see Dusty guarding Kaluna?
However, I did have a problem with the second half. Our guys were totally gassed and Rahe didn't go to his bench often in the second half. You have guys who can give your starters a rest for 4 or 5 mins and keep us playing at a consistent level; especially when you are up by 21.
