Not really confirmed by any other sources, so I'll believe it when it happens. I just hope Boise doesn't swoop up Baldwin. Would be great if he stuck around a couple more seasons, at least.

I was shocked to learn Boise was paying Peterson $2.5mm. With that money, I suspect they'll want more of a big splash hire. I don't know what other jobs would come open that would be enticing for Baldwin. I don't think anything of substance is going to come open on the West Coast.

Not sure Feldman is the guy to step out on limb. Hope it's true.

I've read a few threads that had Baldwin in the top 4 for the BSU job. I don't know the veracity of any if it, though.

Well, so do I, but only because I can't stand NDSU. I'm just saying...let's not get too excited about another teams misfortunes when we don't know that our own coach isn't going to someplace like BSU.

True that Ranger.

Wow! I would have thought he'd go much higher than Wyoming? He must have some skeletons in his closet.

Not skeletons per se:

Bohl's exit from Nebraska was particularly nasty following the 2002 season as defensive coordinator under Frank Solich. People in Lincoln say critical fans ripped Bohl professionally and personally. Bohl has never said much about his time in Lincoln, preferring to leave the past in the past. As recently as last month, Bohl told an Omaha columnist: “I'd rather not talk about Nebraska or my days at Nebraska. Hope you understand.”

Baldwin would never leave while EWU's season is still alive. I'm pretty confident in that. I think I will continue to enjoy the Schadenfreude.

He could have taken the job, but has yet to release that information (Bohl's announcement was due to a media leak)

Regardless, if Baldwin makes the decision to leave, we need to wish him the best. Just took a trip over to the Bison forum, and the way they are reacting is disgraceful. Many Bison's are saying if Bohl walks out on the field on Saturday, they will boo and jest him. Are they not thankful for what he has done for their program?

In reading the Bisonville forum I've concluded that is just what the Bison fans thought as well.
Pull your head out of the sand, if a coach can quadruple his salary, moving at any time is a distinct possibility.

As a former BSU player and alum and knowing Coach Pete fairly well I would say that Coach B would make a great replacement for Coach P and from the time I have spent at EWU I have made many comparisons between the 2 but the only place I have heard that Coach B was being considered was up in Cheney. In Boise the rumors are they are looking at a return of Hawkins (not sure that would happen even though he is a great person) and either Wilcox at UW who Coach Pete just replaced with Coach Kwiatkowski (who I played with a BSU) and Coach Harsin who is the HC at Arkansas State and who I know is interested in the job.

IMO Coach B has proven himself and his staff worthy of stepping up into a better paying job for his future and family but I only hope he decides to stay for another year or so for my own selfish reasons. :twocents:

Football Scoop reports Harsin is interviewing today. Bohl's will make $750 at U Wyo

That tells me he knows ndsu isn't gonna be much after this season. He could have got much more than that but he still took his chances and didn't hold out for something better. This literally is as good as it gets for ndsu and wyo is the best that came up. He got FXCKED. :coffee:
