• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

While they might have a point about the "intimate atmosphere," I have NEVER seen the Nest sell out.

:dunce:

(Not you, Kadeezy....)

the article was written during the Jenkins era when the place was sold out often..

South Gym (the actual name of the shack) held 2,000 before the original bleachers were ripped out and replaced with chair backs. During the last winning season in 1988 temp. bleachers were brought in to seat 400 more and many people were turned away back in those days.

Those were ALSO the days when Channel 3 routinely broadcast Hornet football games, particularly those against UOP and the Manure Pile. I wish they didn't act as if we don't even exist nowadays (unless there's a major scandal brewing, of course).

:ohno:

Agree.

When Comcast does the Causway now the game reaches TV sets all over Nor. Cal including the Bay Area
And people at work comment to me that they watched the Sac game.

One would think KCRA or another station would broadcast the games as even most Sac stations reach the Bay Area too. That is a lot of viewers. Millions. And even the most casual sports fan likes to watch any game.

And Sacramento is the 20th largest media market with 1 out of every 26 people in the Sac area being a Sac State grad. Just do not get it?

You have to hand it to the guy, this was pretty good spin on the worst D1 facility in the nation. I wonder how much it cost Wanless to grease this guys palm for the positive spin?

I think this guy attended a game during a senior night or something. It can’t be that old as I don’t think those sponsor banners he references are more than 2 years old, and those team banners in the pic were put up within the last 2 seasons (and actually you can see Katz in front of the bench in the bottom right corner of the pic) . Also facilities does put in some temporary baseline bleachers for the “big” games (senior night, Causeway). My guess is this game in reference was the senior night against PSU last season (2011/12).
