New Assistant Coach

Not a good record at Santa Clara, but having a former WCC head coach come on board seems good on the surface.

I'm most certainly not in the "know" for women's hoops, so I must defer to those that are.

Good hire?

who left? and I guess no one has an opinion...
how many more players have left this program....need I say more?

Looking over the rosters, I'd say we lost a lot of seniors to graduation;. Maybe one or two others that didn't play much. Losing Lantz and Misa is a challenge. Usual turn-over. This year's recruits look good, but we'll have to wait and see. A re-building year is always hard.

What happened to Parry? She did well...she isn't listed on last year's roster unless I missed it, could happen!

Foscar..not negative just calling as I see it. Look at the stats no subjectivity or negative emotion tied to the numbers. Anyway..if this is to be a rebuilding year then how do we explain 6-14 for two years in a row? Just step away from the kool-aid. Maybe this assistant will be able to effect change but that hasn't been the trend so far with this head coach. At least we have height but enough ball handlers not so sure? Powell will be the workhorse in that dept.

Let's see what Nele Aha brings. She's more mature and experienced, played point guard apparently successfully on the German U-18 team. But of course she's new and will have to learn the system - whatever it is - fast.

I wish her only good luck! D1 ball is different in US thanU18 B league in Europe. I hope she brings all her tricks! And sorry to see Parry go. Some school will be happy to pick her up. Should be fun to watch essentially a whole new team.

was one of the schools that had a nursing. Wish her well. Don't know how much she will play behind their good PG.

Point is, Freja, you're like Fox News. You have a tendency to run with anything that makes the current administration look bad without worrying too much whether or not its factual. Here, player left for academic reasons. Your take (or at least the impression it gave) was that she was yet another player leaving because the program is crumbling under the current coach.

your words Goviks2 not mine!
she was yet another player leaving because the program is crumbling under the current coach.

There is nothing untrue about a player leaving and signing with another school...just find it interesting

Wouldn't a player look to see if a particular academic program was offered before signing...esp. nursing which is 4 years of study is it not?

just sayin...

On another note, it will be entertaining to see this team with several tall players not just one or two; I think that bodes well in the conference, we have struggled with taller teams.
