That sucks. Where did you hear that?
I ran into a player in that overpriced "store" inside the PUB and I asked about Bronson. He told me that the last he heard he changed his mind and decided on PSU.
Is the PSU coach a former Husky, or am I mistaken? May have had something to do with his decision.
I suppose we'll just have to wait and see what the truth is.
This probably won't resolve itself by Wednesday, but rather the first day of the spring quarter when he attends class. I think Mario demonstrated that the EWU coaching staff is quite capable of producing another TJ like talent. It takes five things to continue to get better and be able to keep playing football after college.
You need opportunity. if you don't play you don't get better.
You need coaching. When you play, you need someone to help you learn from that experience.
You have to have god given talent. All the coaching in the world won't help if you don't have ability.
You have to have mental toughness and believe in your god given talent. You can't be afraid of competition, you have to compete to earn your opportunity to play.
You want to play for a successful program. Coaches at all levels want players that have played on winners at the previous level. It develops a confidence that a player just cannot develop at a program that struggles.
Fortunately for EWU we have all five. We carry the spotlight of the defending national champions, and have a program which has developed a winning mentality that permeates the program. Clearly the Eags have the coaching and players with the god given talent. Brown is currently the lead candidate for the single back slot next year, and Beaumont as the power back, but there will be a competition, and the best players will end up on the field.
I think this makes the perfect environment for Bronson, and I really hope he ends up starting something BIG at EWU.
