New Coaches/Sponsor

Talking with some current players it sounds like the team was introduced to some new coaches with, surprise surprise, boise background. I didnt dig too deep so that is all i know about them but i can try to get more info.

Also we have a new sponsor and apparently its an actual sponsor now and not just discounts like nike gave us. The new sponsor is addidas. I know i prefer nike but addidas is good enough for notre dame so it cant be all bad lol.
 
Cue the “paint the field blue” entourage. :roll:

I am ok with Addidas. I was worried they would go with New Balance or some other sponsor who isn't one of the top athletic apparel providers.
 
Seriously guys, Boise State has the second most wins in all of Div. I since 2000, behind Montana. If BSU guys want to come down to Sacramento and be a part of our rise, why all the pessimism? At least they aren't coming over ISU :lol:
 
What is wrong with a Boise pedigree? They know how to win.

I like Adidas, was getting a little alarmed by the new Nike 'combat' uniform craze. A move to a more traditional and paying relationship will certainly be welcomed.
 
Nike has levels of sponsorships. Sac State went up a level two seasons ago, thus the new Unis in 2009. But from what I understand you also get more stuff. More gloves, a wider variety of shoes to chose from, better travel gear. If a new deal with Adidas is a move up rather than lateral we should all be happy.

No comment on the fire alumni - hire Boise guys strategy.
 
I couldn’t find a pants style I like but I’d pick this jersey style. Numbers and letters are in black trim. All their pants options had the body in green so I went with plain white pants. I am not a fan of both jersey and pants being green. Road uni’s can be all white with the jersey being opposite as the home with the green/white scheme. The Hornet “S” would be cool to have somewhere on the jersey as well.

I was a fan of the uniforms they had the past few years, too bad those are going away. Most of the Addidas jersey styles were pretty cool.
 
This is fine, but I have a couple of caveats.

1. I don't like the elastic sleve. I like the NYG near-tank top even less. I'd dearly love to go back to an older-style jersey. (The color scheme here is fine, though.)

2. I'd like to see a gold/yellow alternate jersey for Homecoming.

You're right that the road jerseys should be opposite the home jersey.

No comment on the uniforms but I am excited about the new linebacker coach. He brings a tremendous amount of talent, experience on the national scene and knowledge to the program having been all WAC two years in a row and with his experience at Colorado. He can connect with the players and can relate how he excelled as an undersize linebacker. Plus he brings a winning attitude to the program. Can't wait for spring ball!
 
Nothing up on Hornetsports about this new coach yet. Any idea if or when a press release will be made?
