Hope this isnt their idea of a new arena!

Sounds like this was scheduled for and coved in the annual facilities budget, I doubt this is in lieu of a new arena.
"We have an allocation right now," said Mario Ruiz, the interim associate vice president of facilities at Sac State. "We have a lot of projects right now on the board that we are either working to complete or getting ready to go out or bid and or get done."
Ruiz said another project underway is repairing Tahoe Hall, where it is undergoing repairs for water damage. They also plan to replace a hot-water boiler in Humboldt Hall. They are also getting ready to replace the 50-year-old gym floor in Yosemite. In Shasta Hall, the air handler is about to be replaced, as well as the heating and ventilation controls in Capistrano Hall.
Is this for sure the floor the Hornets play on or the other side where Rec Sports used before the Well opened up? I also heard the announcer say something about a new scoreboard being added to The Nest during one of the broadcasts. Anyone know anything about that?

Yes it is for the Hornets Nest.

This has got to be for the auxillary gym in Yosemite, not the Hornet's Nest. There are two floors in Yosemite and the Hornet's Nest floor was just completely refurbished. The smaller gym floor is about 50 years old with original lines and I'm thinking that's what's being replaced. It's often used by the men's and women's teams for practice when the nest is unavailable. It's also used for visiting teams and club sports.

I was told the floor in the Hornets Nest is down to its last layer. All that's happen to it is it's been sanded down and repainted. It is also the original gym, the North Gym wasn't built until the early 70's. Its def the Hornets Nest floor.
