Interesting story but I'm not quite sure how to take it. It sounds to me like the previous administration wasn't doing a lot athletics-wise. How many times did Satterlee mention in the story about not having plans, not having ideas, not having things presented in a way the state board could understand and approve? Maybe it wasn't intentional but it sounded like an inference that this wasn't done previously.

Haven't met the man but he does seem to have a grasp of athletics and seems to be willing to support it. That would be a real change in my opinion.

We'll see how or if it all works out.

Jeff has said on numerous times - it's even captured on video somewhere - that he was mandated to schedule 2 FBS games a year. It's good to know that if he does that in the future, it's his choice and not to be blamed on the president.

I’m not sure you can “blame” anybody for the fact that the football team and the men’s and women’s basketball teams have to play revenue games. It’s the only way the athletic department stays afloat financially.

It's an unfortunate reality. I remember maybe eight (?) years ago Joe with men's basketball had to play seven or eight money games in a single season...that was pretty ridiculous.
