New Mexico State Starting QB Transfers to Sac State

Kid's stats aren't too good...

Look this guy has nine games of starting experience at a D1A school. I'd say that's just a touch more than any of our QB's including our starter. I'm not saying he will be the starter, but at the very least we know have a very solid back up QB. This is a huge get for us. He has two years left and can help push MBT. I don't know about you, but having a walk-on, true freshman as our second team QB was not a good situation. Montana State wanted this kid real bad, but we got him and he fills a huge gap at this position. Murdaca is injured, Edwards is not eligible because he transferred from a 1AA school and so we only had Safron and Carmazzi with zero experience in a game. Whew, this is big for us.

Agreed. A huge relief IMO.

I agree. A solid back-up and there shouldnt be any complaints, especially considering the first game of the season is Saturday.

This late transfer is huge and definitely shores up one of the risk areas for the season!

Hopefully his tools and the Hornet’s offense all click better for him in Sac than the 4TDs and 12 picks he threw at NMSU. Per Scout, “The Aggies failed to score more than 21 points all year and only scored double-digits in six of the 13 games. NMSU finished last in the nation in total offense, last in scoring offense, 118th in passing offense, and last in passing efficiency.”http://cfn.scout.com/2/557682.html

Had offers from NMSU, Idaho, and UT State out of Fullerton JC as a 3-Star, Dual-Threat QB Rivals recruit.

If he plays in the Causeway, he’d better not have flashbacks to his NMSU days and start helping out the “Aggies”!
