Welcome aboard, coach!

If you're not careful, you are going to fall in love with this place.

A lot of our oponents are not expecting much out of us this year. They might be in for a surprize. I like what our coaching staff is doing and I really like what our team captains are doing. Yes. we have to put some young players on an excellerated learning curve. So what! Strap on the pads and lets GO! :thumb:

Looks like the line is definitely in good hands with Coach Morton...and Coach Hale:

Things are starting to shape up nicely for the Cats. Now if Coach Sears can find a couple of DT's to back up the starters I think the Cats will be in an excellent position.

Morton comes to Weber State with an extensive resume of college football coaching, bringing 38 years of coaching experience to the Wildcat program including stints at major FBS universities.

Morton comes to Weber State after spending two seasons as an assistant coach at Washington State where he coached with Jody Sears. Morton began his coaching career in 1975 as a Washington State graduate assistant under Jim Walden. He became a full-time assistant coach at his alma mater in 1977 and spent the next 10 seasons in Pullman.

In 1987 Morton moved to Iowa State University, where he spent the next five seasons. He then went to Washington as offensive line coach where he spent seven seasons and had five bowl appearances with the Huskies. He then spent two seasons at USC (1999-2000). He also had a one-year stint at Nevada in 2001 before spending three seasons at Stanford as the offensive line coach (2002-04). He spent five years at San Jose State, the first as offensive line coach and the last four as the offensive coordinator.

We are damn lucky to have Coach Morton. Tons of experience at the highest level. Just the kind of coach a young offensive line needs.
