Go Griz, Go Nova, and go Gators.

I don't see us jumping App State for one of the top two seeds but we would have a shot if Nova pulls the upset at home against Delaware.

I know it's just rankings and unlike our big brothers, we have a playoff system to see who the national champion is but wouldn't it be kinda cool to end the regular season as number 1? I'm pretty sure #2 App State will lose to Florida on Saturday and ought to drop a couple of spots because of it. No. 1 Delaware doesn't have a push over in their final game versus last year's national champion, Villanova. Nova will be fighting for their collective lives to get one final win and hope to make the playoffs. Losing last week should fire them up.

As they said in Angels in the Outfield, "It could happen...."

EDIT: I see Kalm beat me to it by a minute...

:D, Nice to be ranked so high...but as ususal...time to take care of business at home this saturday, win (at least tie) the big sky champ, and maybe get a seed for the tourney.

Unless Appy State gets beat by Florida in a game that isn't competitive in the least, say 58-7 or something similar, they'll probably stay above us even with a loss. Delaware losing to Villanova would be our best bet for getting an all-home playoff draw. Of course, Montana State has a legit chance of locking down a seed above us if they beat Montana on the road in convincing fashion. I think we'll stay ahead of them if even if they beat Montana if we really lay a beating on Idaho State unless they absolutely throttle the Griz (which I don't think will happen, although unfortunately, I think they will win).

Of course, the most important thing for us is to take care of business... and seeing as how we've played down to the level of our competition in most of our games this season, winning is not a given. Winning big is almost totally improbable.

If winning big is almost totally improbable, we have a serious problem. Idaho state is 1-9, will be losing their head coach after the game, got pasted by Sac at home on senior day, and is playing an Eastern team that can win an outright BSC title and go undefeated at home. What makes you think we can't drop 50 on the Bengals Dopa AND shut them out?

I think the only team we "played down" to this year was UNC. In the other close games we won in against UM, Sac, NAU, and SUU, those were all quality opponents. UNC has also lost some close ones and took MSU to the wireN so they may not be as bad as some think. The only other "bad" team we have played was PSU, and we all know how that one went. So I don't think its outside the realm of possibility to think that we could lay a smack down on ISU, but I also know we need to hit them fast and early and not let up on the gas. In every game that we have let the oppositon hang around in, it has almost cost us. No, time for a big win against ISU going into the play-offs.

Do you guys really wonder why I think it is improbable that we'll blow out Idaho State (even though we should)? Who else have we blown out this year? Portland State... that is it. We've let every other team hang around with us including Central Washington and Northern Colorado- both teams we should have annihilated. And don't give me the "Central is a really good D-II team" bit because until they get 63 schollies, any defense of D-II is a non-starter.

I'll give us credit in that we consistently win, and that speaks volumes in a conference as good and with as much parity as the Big Sky. But we have a habit of making life way harder than it needs to be.

As long as you no longer get to use it when we schedule them. ;)

Working through the kinks, Dopa, just working through the kinks.

We had some growing pains and the PSU game showed what we're capable of. SUU was for real. Their five game winning streak coming into our house was proof of that. ISU is gonna get a beat down.

+1

Gonna be at least a 3 score differential.

PSI will only be close if the 'boys' don't listen to the coach's. I can see them putting in a lot of players that don't yet have experience just to give it to them; smart move. I would like to see more of Nick Gauthier - QB, Mario Brown - RB, Josh Anthonson - FB, Cory Mitchell - WR, Ryan Seto - TE, David Gaylord - LE, Allen Brown - CB, and Chandler Gayton - FS.
