The NCAA has approved a new rule requiring an arc to be painted three feet out from the front of the rim, like the NBA has now. For a charge to be called, a player will have to be completely outside of that line, and have established position as before. The way I believe that it works is if it would have been a block before, it will still be a block. If it would have been a charge before, and the defender is inside of the arc, it will now be a no call.
I like it. I am sure that there will be coaches that hate it. What do you all think?
